Cheap Breakfast on Burrard
a Quick Bite
By Daniel Fishman
Eat Vancouver writer
When I moved from the Granville Island area to the West End, I figured two things: 1) it would give me the chance to write a lot more reviews for EatVancouver, given the abundance of restaurants in the area, and 2) I would be unlikely to find a breakfast deal to replace Yummy Sushi. On the first count, I was clearly right, as I have doubled my rate of production from one review every 3 months, to two, but it turns out I may have been wrong on the 2nd point.
Everything about Café Burrard St. Deli is eerily familiar… the husband and wife (I assume) team running the show, the awkward name, and especially the $3.25 (tax included) breakfast special featuring 2 eggs any style, bacon or sausage, whole wheat toast, and roasted potatoes. The food did not disappoint, as the eggs were perfectly cooked and everything else was great. The service was extremely friendly. Although the portion size was smaller than Yummy Sushi, you may not need that much food anyway, and the swankier atmosphere and convenient location more than make up for it. Also, Pam says the coffee was excellent (which it certainly was not at Yummy Sushi). CBSD also has a much wider menu, even going so far as to include a peanut butter and banana sandwich. Definitely a great spot to stop in for a quick breakfast.

Impressive. I like how you got the Vera’s bash into the comments section. It’s like we’re playing some cool scavenger hunt game, but you’ve made it nice and easy by putting one on every page.
You guys are the real heroes!!
