After and despite several roadblocks, word is that Pied a Terre opened its doors (softly) on Wednesday and is now open to the public. This has been one of my most anticipated openings for a while now, and I’m very excited to try it in a few weeks when I’m sure that they are firing on all cylinders.
The website is up, and it notably contains no hard alcohols, which surprises me for two reasons: 1. Surely that’d be a major source of revenue and 2. My coworker is engaged to a server there, so I thought I would have heard about this by now. The various aperitif wines certainly fit with the French theme, however, so I don’t think it’s a really big deal. Still, I can’t help but wonder if this is related to problems with the liquor license I reported on earlier.
Regardless, congrats (!) to the folks behind the project and I look forward to checking it out.
