Whistler Cornucopia is happening again this year from November 8th to 12th. From what I can tell, it’s a celebration of food and wine for those fortunate enough to afford a weekend in Whistler plus admittance to several lunches, seminars and parties, which range from $15 to $200. So, it’s a luxury, but quite a fun, interesting, wine-filled one. I was lucky enough to check it out last year and thanks to the good people at Whistler Cornucopia, I’ll be covering it for Eat Vancouver this year.
So, if you are planning to go to Cornucopia this year, please send me an e-mail and perhaps we can meet up for a drink or seminar or something. My email address is in the contact section. As of now, I’m planning to attend the following events:
Saturday, November 10th
11am – 12:30pm: Wine Smackdown or Kick up your BBQ
2-3:30pm: Regional Walkabout Tasting
4-5:30pm: Hurrah Syrah
8:30pm: Crush! Grand Tasting
Sunday, November 11th
11am-12:30pm: The Alter Ego of Napa
1-2pm: Cornucopia Mini Tasting Series – Italy, Classic and Funky
3-4pm: Cornucopia Mini Tasting Series – Rhone
4-5:30pm: (time permitting) Cheese Please by the Natural Pastures Cheese Company
And I think that should pretty much do it! See you in Whistler.
