I’m sad to say that Eat Vancouver darling Triggiano’s has closed its doors for good. The last latte was officially slung two Sundays ago, and renovation has already begun on the forthcoming J.J. Bean. J.J. Bean is a fine chain, but I’ll miss this independent cafe.

Apparently, researchers in New Mexico have discovered a new chili pepper that’s twice as spicy as the current leader (a red habanero). I’ll be heading down to Albuquerque for an eating/psychology excursion in February. I wonder if they’ll let me try one? Part of me hopes so, the rest is pretty scared.
